communion_3577cLooking for a way to serve the Lord?  How about being a Communion Assistant.

This is an opportunity for the younger children, grades first through fifth, to become active participants in worship.  Two communion assistants carry the gifts to the alter and then they hold the challis as Pastor and the Eucharistic Minister serve communion.  Being a communion assistant provides children with an active role in worship and makes them feel very special.  Being a Communion Assistant is a great precursor to being an Acolyte.   The children are on a rotation list and will be asked to assist once every couple of months at one of the services.  Contact the church office at 610-584-8411 to volunteer. Training is provided to make sure the youth are comfortable and confident in serving the Lord!

acolytes_3650cLooking for a way to serve the Lord?  How about being an Acolyte.

Think of acolyting as having courtside seats at your favorite sporting event….  All middle school and high school age youth have the opportunity to wear really cool clothes and sit in a very comfortable chair, all the while assisting Pastor with the worship service.  Acolyting is a very spiritually fulfilling opportunity and all eligible youth are encouraged to participate.  By actively participating, your perspective on worship could be altered dramatically and you get the opportunity to give Pastor immediate feedback on his sermon!  You will be on a rotation list and be asked to acolyte once every couple of months at one of the services.  No experience is needed and you will be trained.  Please see Pastor for details.

Do you enjoy helping people? Do you like collecting money?  Then this is the right job for you!  As an usher, you greet people as they enter the sanctuary and hand out the weekly bulletin for Mass.  You also help people find a place to sit and collect the offering.  Training is provided and usher teams serve for one month per year.  Contact the church office at 610-584-8411 for more information.

Love to read?  Do names like Nahshon, Zuar, and Pedahzur roll off your tongue?  Then this may be the job for you.  As a Lay Reader, you will have the opportunity to read scripture and offer up prayers during the service. If you do get one of those tough words or names to pronounce, don’t worry, Pastor Guiser will ensure you have the right pronunciation before hand.  Even if you mispronounce a name or place, chances are no one will even notice!  You will be on a rotation list and be asked to read once every couple of months at one of the services.  As with all of our service opportunities, training is provided!  Go ahead, give it a try!  Contact the church office at 610-584-8411 if interested.

Eucharistic Ministers assistant the Pastor during worship service, offer prayers and help serve communion.  This is a very visual role and is spiritually fulfilling.  You will be on a rotation list and be asked to serve every six weeks or so at one of the services.  Please discuss your interest with Pastor Guiser.  As always, training will be provided.
